On a much less flippant note

In the last few posts I’ve rained scorn on people I generally admire and agree with. This business about banning The Boom raises one positive thing: people are attending to our educational systems. Penn State has been seen as a Frackademy, so it’s not surprising that folks are miffed, suspicious and eager to call us out. It’s an outgrowth from a powerful desire to move universities away from fossil fuels and their investment in the machinery of climate disruption. Even if I think the current move is misguided, I hope they continue to press the whole higher education sector to move to a zero carbon future.
