I want to give a big shout out to my friend, Jeffrey Brownson, who’s started an excellent website and blog, Heliotactic.

He has put up an excellent post titled “Bye-Bye BIPV. Hello, Co-creation of Knowledge.” Excellent community-minded thoughts on solar ecology, solar design, and the fact that all solar is local. “Pay more attention to people and place,” he writes, “and less attention to the flashy novelty of the newest tech or materials.”
After you read the post, I challenge us with this question: Can we recreate solar, as Wendell Berry might say, “the work of local culture“?
